Data and account security

In this section, we disclose the full extent of our use of user data. We do not collect information for use outside the services provided by Trade Tank. No metadata is collected from user devices beyond what may be necessary for the core functionality of the application's main features. Trade Tank does not sell user information. Passwords are not stored in their original form and are never shared with third parties by Trade Tank.

Cookies and sessions

Trade Tank values user privacy and transparency. Essential cookies are used to retain user sessions while users are logged in. IP addresses are used temporarily in memory for rate limiting, but are not persistently stored in the application database or attached to a user's profile.

Server and network logs

We plan to disable Nginx access logging to reduce the information retained about visits. This change has not yet been confirmed as active. Until then, server access logs may contain IP addresses and request details. Disabling access logging does not disable error logs, which may also contain IP addresses or request details when a problem occurs.

When traffic to Trade Tank passes through Cloudflare, Cloudflare may process and log visitor IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the service. This processing is separate from Trade Tank's application database and Nginx access logging settings. For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
